A distant memory

    rising-smoke:

Remember the stars. Even if you don’t see them, you and I both know that they’re there. Waiting for the sun to set, the clouds to settle, and the rain to stop its downpour. Everything is a distant memory now. But every time, it is you I always remember.

The days of nicotine high and the nearly missed winter’s solstice is far from where we are now. That endless walk, the endless stories, things I won’t forget. The way you made me feel, and hopefully the way I made you feel. Those near-hugs, near-kisses, your shirt against mine. It was the best. But a new year has arrived with more things to come. And maybe, new moments can be created if you’re still willing.

But if you’re not, I could only wish for one last thing. Remember the stars. The way I loved them, the way I seek for them every damn night. My favorite, and yours as well. The feeling you made me feel, and hopefully the way I made you feel.
